Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Experience in housekeeping and/or custodial maintenance preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a manual shift vehicle.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Certifications:

  • Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping/Cabins: Maintains the cleanliness of the Park and buildings, including offices, meeting rooms, campground cabins, restrooms, park walkways, and shelters in Paladium. Detail/Parking Lot: Maintains the cleanliness of the trash cans and grounds in campground, courtyard, Paladium and all parking lot areas. Also handles the floor maintenance in the Merchandise and Food locations in the park and pressure washing in park restrooms.
  • Picks up trash in assigned work areas.
  • Dust/Mop floors in various locations.
  • Empty, dispose of trash, and maintain clean trash containers in assigned areas.
  • Clean restroom toilets, sinks, counter tops, mirrors, floors, fixtures, and restock necessary supplies inside the park, office areas and cabins.
  • Cleans the park walkways, shelters and Paladium as needed.
  • Drives the sweeper truck in the parking lots areas when needed.
  • Cleans (vacuums, sweeps, mops, dusts, empties trash cans) offices, meeting rooms, buildings, rest rooms and restocks rest rooms.
  • Maintains grounds and trash cans in the campground, courtyard, and all parking lot areas.
  • Cleans park lakes, ponds, fountains as needed.
  • Handles pressure washing the park restrooms as needed.
  • Waxes and strips floors in Merchandise and Food locations.
  • Gathers and properly disposes of cardboard, computer paper and aluminum cans.
  • Cleans dumpsters and area around dumpsters and compactors.
  • Notifies area supervisor of any malfuncations or special situations.
  • Trains and directs seasonal associates under direction for certain tasks when needed.
  • Processes and stores away orders for supplies.
  • Responds to and takes appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints from patrons and associates.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
  • Ability to anticipate, prepare and plan ahead.
  • Maintains clear, concise and specific lines of communication and works closely with associates, management and guests.
  • Maintains the cleanliness for the Campground Cabins including the laundry.
  • Assists the Admissions Department as needed.
  • Be trained in proper use of all chemicals necessary for all park services positions.
  • Uses good judgment when dealing with situations within work areas.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
