Based in Bentonville, Arkansas, Ropeswing Hospitality is committed to accelerating regional food as well as the people involved in the farm to table process: our producers, our staff, our guests. Development focuses on reviving historical landscapes in Northwest Arkansas into modern culinary and entertainment options. We currently operate Pressroom, The Preacher’s Son, Undercroft, Record event space, The Holler, Louise at Thaden Field, Blake Street House and CO-OP Ramen. 

What You'll Do

The Director of Operations will play an instrumental role in leading the daily operations of all Ropeswing Hospitality Group concepts to ensure operational functionality and help drive extensive and sustainable growth. Essential to this task is the capability to understand the complexities and business goals of each operation, then developing, coordinating and directing unique operational initiatives for each concept.

The Director of Operations will work with the Ropeswing leadership team to build a Culture of Care, Responsibility and Quality across all Ropeswing concepts and initiatives, by focusing on People, Processes and Product.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve budgeted revenue goals through promotion, product and pricing across all concepts and initiatives.
  • Support strategic review and planning processes for new initiatives spanning multiple disciplines and concepts.
  • Manage clear and effective information flow to senior leadership and all other internal stakeholders.
  • Provide Food and Beverage (F&B) direction through policy, safety and sanitation compliance, brand standard interpretations, and make recommendations of policy, design and concept revisions.
  • Test and pilot F&B products, programs, concepts and services, identifying operational implications prior to full-scale rollout in conjunction with GMs and Ropeswing Leadership.
  • Develop menus and recipes in partnership with culinary leadership across Ropeswing.
  • Lead efforts relating to the recruitment, hiring, and training of operations team members and leadership.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures and tools exist for all F&B operations and identify process improvements to support Ropeswing’s culture of care, responsibility and quality.
  • What You’ll Need to Be Successful (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or another related field desired.
  • At least 10 years of strong operational leadership experience in hospitality concepts, ideally with a foundation in culinary, beverage and/or restaurant service.
  • Experience managing multiple and diverse concepts.
  • Experience developing new concepts.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that promotes initiative, innovation, creativity, collaboration and appropriate risk taking. 
  • Employment contingent upon completion of a satisfactory background check.
