Penn State Behrend Housing and Food Services is seeking an organized and motivated individual dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. Prepare, combine, season, and cook food served in Dobbins Dining location according to standardized recipes, methods, and/or procedures. Follow proper HACCP guidelines in the production, handling, and service of grilled, deli, fried, pizza, saut and salad prep items. Ensure that menu items are maintained at proper temperature and freshness. Ability to set-up, operate and clean char-grill, flat-top grill, and fryers. Ability to handle multiple requests and job duties throughout shift. Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation. Ability to perform cleaning duties on a daily basis. This is an extremely fast-paced position that handles multiple requests at once. There are two shifts available with different hours. The first shift is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. with Monday and Tuesday`s off. The second shift is Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m with Friday and Saturday off. Prior experience is required. Must possess good communication skills, basic knife and kitchen equipment skills, be outgoing, and give top priority to customer satisfaction. Starting rate is $9.50 per hour, with opportunities for tenure and merit based pay increases.
