Penn State Abington seeks to hire part-time Youth Program and Summer Camp Instructors for science, technology, robotics and engineering related camps for students in grades 3-12 and college prep courses for high school students. Instructors are responsible for assisting with creating and implementing program lessons and projects, and managing supplies, as well as supervision of minors participating in programs. Instructors must work collaboratively with Youth Program Director, student counselors and Continuing Education staff to create an inviting, enjoyable and educational environment for campers. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills required. Must be outgoing, work well with children, have strong customer service skills, and be a self-starter. For most positions, an advanced degree in an appropriate discipline, from an accredited institution, is required. Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred. Scope of youth programs are dependent on course content and vary in length. Summer Camp Instructors are needed for various week-long programs from June 24 - August 16, 2019. Multiple vacancies are available for various programs.
