The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, one of two premiere properties owned and operated by The Pennsylvania State University under the Penn State Hospitality Services umbrella, has two restaurants, The Gardens Restaurant and Legends Pub, as well as room service for 300 guest rooms. We are seeking an energetic and dynamic restaurant professional possessing a commitment to customer service and maintaining high quality to join the restaurant leadership team. Duties include assisting the Director of Restaurants with hiring, training, scheduling, payroll and oversight of all employees. Maintain inventories, order supplies maintain point-of-sale database system and attend operational meetings. Coordinate business using our catering software system and execute details from banquet event orders as relevant to the restaurants. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in the Micros point-of-sales system, Microsoft and Excel is preferred. Previous hotel-restaurant management experience and flexibility in work schedule are priorities. Candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized and completely committed to customer satisfaction.
