The Practicum & Internship Coordinator assists with final stages of a student s academic journey from time of application for Practicum through application for state licensure. This position serves as supervisor for a team of Gate Coordinators and a first line contact for faculty teaching practicum/internship. The Practicum & Internship Coordinator also assists the Associate Director of Clinical Training with day to day tasks as needed for the department. 1. Duties include: a.Supervise and manage a team of Gate Coordinators who: i.Manage developing, editing, and maintaining student files, documents, websites, and course dev shells; ii.Provides technical support to students;iii.Correspond with students via email, phone, and office visits b.Provides technical support to faculty and students as needed; c.Develops training tutorials and handouts to support faculty and students; d.Assist in managing and creating Blackboard shells for each course overseen by the department;e. Provides final approval for all students applying for field placementf.Any other duties needed/assigned. 2.Must possess an understanding of confidentiality and integrity when dealing with student records.3.Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.4.Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU s mission.
