What This Position Is All About: Under the direction of the SVP GMM, The Director of Cosmetic Operations s is responsible for the maximization of sales and profitability of Cosmetics & Fragrances staffing through the development and implementation of key initiatives relating to store operations, including budgeting, payroll and staffing, reporting and analysis, and events. The Director works in partnership with key stakeholders including Store Leadership, Merchant Teams & Vendor Partners. This role will supervise one manager on the team. As the Director, Cosmetics Operations, You Will: Oversee and manage the financial operations for the Saks Fifth Avenue cosmetic business Provide analysis and manage through staffing changes, new brand openings, and vendor requests Leads the relationship with vendors, stores and other internal partners (finance and merchants) to ensure proper staffing and payroll allocations Partners with Merchant leads to negotiate with vendors Provides high-level analysis on an ongoing basis to be communicated to all key stakeholders Creates and communicates seasonal priority calendar relating to cosmetics events Approve month end journal entries and provide additional accounting support as needed Work with corporate, store, and vendor leaders to provide sound business reccomendations Additional responsibilities as required Who You Are: Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Business Management or Retail Management 5+ years experience in related field Proven ability to deliver results and achieve targets Strong financial, accounting, and analytical skills Exceptional interpersonal, communication, client facing skills Skilled at coaching, developing, and influencing others Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential Demonstrated ability to build credibility with stakeholders or clients Eager to embrace and support change, ability to manage in an ambiguous environment Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access Your Life and Career at HBC: Be part of a world-class team; work with an adventurous spirit; think and act like an owner-operator Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities, from retail to supply chain, to digital or corporate A culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balance Benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental) An amazing employee discount Thank you for your interest with HBC.
