We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Senior Living Services and Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries. # General Responsibilities: Responsible for working cooperatively with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA) in providing technical support and assistance to local APPRISE Programs across Pennsylvania. Makes provisions for all educational trainings for APPRISE Coordinators and Counselors as directed by PDA. Provides support to local APPRISE Coordinators by serving as a resource for technical information about Medicare. Acts as a liaison between local programs and various state and federal governmental agencies. # Education/Training: An Associate#s degree normally required; Bachelor#s degree preferred. # Experience: A minimum of three (3) years# experience in Aging field and an understading of Medicare benefits and options preferred. # ADA: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills. # Diakon offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for employees including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug coverage.
